"Hello secretary"
"Hello"
"I need to speak
To so and so"

"Who are you
And where are you calling from?"
I answer the questions
But secretaries are dumb

"Why are you calling?
Maybe I can help you?"
"I need to speak to who's in charge"
"Then there's nothing I can do"

If I get through to who i need
And start to read the script
Seems like everyone just hangs up
And I begin to flip

But mostly its just voice mail
They dont answer the phone
Over and over and over
And i want to go home

Sometimes I get through
More than just the first line
And suddenly I'm excited
Because this time itll be fine

And they cut me off at the end
When i mention the invoice
They no longer want it
They dont want the choice

When I get a sale
I finally feel good
I finally did my job correct
Just like i knew i could

Sometimes I like my job
Most of the time not really
But here i am again
Because I need the money
